The Center for Wound Care, a new outpatient facility at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, is now open to patients; reports the Centre Daily Times.

Also including Mount Nittany’s diabetic foot clinic, orthotics and hyperbaric medicine, the center will address wounds that result from burns, post-operative complications and diabetes-related foot injuries, among other sources. 

The center has two hyperbaric oxygen treatment chambers, the first in Centre County.  Until now, the closest place for local residents to seek this and other unique treatments they can now receive at the center was J.C. Blair Hospital in Huntingdon.
