A meeting was held Tuesday, October 11 on behalf of the Medical Assistance Advisory Committee’s (MAAC) Long Term Care Delivery System in Harrisburg.
Organizations represented at the meeting were:
- The Office of Long Term Living (OLTL) – Kevin Hancock;
- Department of Aging Priorities – Secretary Brian Duke;
- Enterprise Incident Management System – Theresa Small;
- American National Standard Institute (ANSI) 5010 Conversion – Bill Ward;
- Integrating Care for Dual Eligible – Steve Horner
The OLTL will kickoff off its state plan for aging in Hershey. This “kickoff” meeting will include streamlining-geared objectives which aim to provide a comprehensive relationship between state and federal agencies to develop.
Secretary Brian Duke from the Department of Aging Priorities outlined five key services which included “Re-architecture” and revitalization of aging services to promote health and well-being.
Steve Horner of Integrating Care for Dual Eligible also noted at the meeting that from hence onward dual eligibles will now be referred to as MME’s. Horner then stated the current technical assistance grant has been made available to serve a wider population, inclusive of those aged 21 and up.
The next meeting is scheduled for December 13, 2011.
