The Widener School of Nursing opened a clinic for the uninsured and underinsured yesterday in Chester in partnership with CityTeam Ministries.

The Delaware County Times reports that “The center will offer physical exams, episodic medical care, individual and community education in areas such as disease and medication management, diet, holistic care and mobility, and assist with referrals to support groups and community resources.  Staffed by nurse practitioners, registered nurses and graduate and undergraduate students, all of whom are volunteers, the clinic to date has seen about 70 residents of the CityTeam recovery and shelter program. The hours, by appointment, will be 4-6:30p.m. Monday and Thursday.”
