SB 1337, the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee Transparency Bill, recieved second consideration in the Senate on Monday, June 23rd and was re-referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.  Appropriations voted it favorably from Committee the next day. It was set on the Senate calendar for third consideration for Wednesday the 25th, but was passed over, and set back on the Senate Calendar for Friday the 27th.

A bill to reauthorize the PA healthcare cost containment council (PHC4), SB 1372, was re-referred to Senate Appropriations on Monday and was then voted favorably from the committee as amended on Wednesday, June 25th.  It recieved second consideration in the Senate on Thurdsay the 26th and was set on the Senate calendar for Friday, June 27th.

SB 1497, a bill which would block DPW’s proposed Medicaid carve-out, was introduced by Sen. Erickson last Thursday, June 19th. The Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee voted the bill favorably from committee on Thursday, June 26th.  It recieved first consideration on the floor that same day and was then rereferred to Senate Appropriations Committee.

Meanwhile in the House, HB 2028, a bill amending the Healthcare cost containment act, was set on the House calendar for Friday June 27th.  It was then tabled, and removed from the table that same day.
