Senate Republicans will announce their own health care package at a press conference tomorrow at the Capitol Media Center, according to a press release they released this afternoon.

They say that their comprehensive package will improve access and affordability of health care by building on approaches already in existence, and doing so in a “financially responsible” way.

Called “HealthNET PA,” they say their plan is a “blueprint that expands direct access to health care and medicine for the uninsured and low-income working Pennsylvanians, utilizes information technology to cut costs and reduce costly health care-associated infections, and provides expanded insurance options for employers and families.”

The news conference will take place at 9:45 a.m.
