This weekend, an article in the York Dispatch featured interviews with several restaurant and bar owners in the York area; all of whom say that the smoking ban isn’t hurting their businesses:

Steve Seredych, a manager at the [Central Family Restaurant], said he hasn’t seen any drop in business at the restaurant.

“I know a lot of people like it better,” said Seredych.

Brandon Thomas, Manager at Round the Clock Restaurant in Manchester Township, said employees “haven’t seen a negative affect on business because of the smoking ban.”

“The change in the economy overall has slowed business more than the smoking,” Thomas said. “For the smoking part, the majority of the comments are in the positive about there not being smoking in the restaurant. We see the regulars, the ones who smoke. When they want to smoke, they step outside.”
