A study by Cleverley + Associates, a leading health care financial consulting firm, has rankedPenn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center among the top 100 hospitals in the United States.
The ranking in Cleverley’s State of the Hospital Industry – 2010 Edition is based on a proprietary index known as the Community Value Index. The index measures the value that a hospital provides to its community by looking at financial strength and reinvestment, cost of care, pricing and quality.
The Penn State Hershey Medical Center also earned the Community Value Five-Star distinction, for achieving a Community Value Index score within the top 20 percent among all high-intensity teaching hospitals.
