In an article published in today’s paper, the editors of the Patriot-News voice their support for Rendell’s proposal to have the state take over management of pharmacy benefits for all medical assistance recipients.

In doing so, they explain why they feel the Department of Public Welfare is ready to handle the job, detail the benefits the takeover would reap, and offer up explanations for why Rendell’s proposal (his third try) is receiving legislative opposition.
