The Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) brings together America’s pharmaceutical companies, doctors, other health care providers, patient advocacy organizations and community groups to help patients who lack prescription coverage get the medicines they need through the public or private program that’s right for them. Many times qualifying patients are able to get prescriptions free or nearly free. PPA’s mission is to increase awareness of patient assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible.
Since the launch of PPA in April 2005, 233,000 Pennsylvanians have been helped through the program, along with 4.7 million people nationwide.
Uninsured or underinsured patients can determine which program or programs are right for them by filling out an application with eligibility questions. Patients must have a list of all the medications they currently take to complete the application. You can access the Partnership for Prescription Assistance by phone 1-888-4PPA-NOW (1-888-477-2669), or visit their website
