According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, about 40 percent of women have denser breast tissue which makes it difficult to interpret mammograms. The Food and Drug Administration just approved the somo-v Automated Breast Ultrasound System (ABUS) which allows physicians to detect tumors in women with dense breast tissue.
