 Hershey Medical Center had a $1.6 billion impact on Pennsylvania’s economy last year.

Designers of the new Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh did everything they could to give the hospital a calming feel.  Also, the hospital’s scientific director says that he aims for the hospital to become one of the nation’s top research centers.

Proposed merger of Mercy Health Partners and Tyler Memorial Hospital is a sign that the volatile health care economy is changing the structure of the industry, says the Times-Tribune.

The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania is urging the legislature to restore Medicaid funding, because hospitals are struggling financially.
