- Altoona Regional Health System is cutting costs, and may lay off employees.

- Lehigh Valley Health Network named among nation’s best 100 companies to work for by Fortune.

- In Lancaster County; hospital infection rates dropped for Lancaster General Hospital, Ephrata Community Hospital, and Hershey Medical Center; went up for Lancaster Regional Medical Center. 

- Kane Regional Center opens up a transitional-care wing.

- Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center’s nurses union to discuss their new contract with the hospital; the union worries about the patient-nurse ratio.
