Altoona Regional Health System is hiring 60 nurses and 20 nurse aides in preparation for the state’s new prohibition of mandatory overtime, which begins in July.
Hospitals in Mountour and Union counties urge patients that arrive at the hospital with valuables to store them in hospital safes.
And, Sunbury Community Hospital is opening a new 6-bed hospice center in September, which is expected to provide 14 new jobs.
