An article published in USA Today discusses the psychology behind obesity. Many researchers “weigh in” on the issue, including psychologist Paul Rozin of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Obesity is one of the themes being discussed at the annual American Psychological Association’s meeting this weekend in Orlando. More than one-third of adults are obese, and almost 17% of kids and teens also fit into that category. Among the most-blamed causes for obesity are intense food marketing toward consumers and less physical activity.
