Gov. Rendell and legislative leaders reached a budget deal on Monday. All that the plan needs to be final is for the General Assembly to vote on it, and for Gov. Rendell to sign it.
Some details from the Associated Press:
– $28.2 billion for fiscal year 2008-09 beginning Tuesday
– 3.8 percent increase over past year’s spending
– Does not require any broad-based tax or fee increases
