A bill that would allow prescription drug redistribution within healthcare and govt’ correctional facilities — HB 721 – was voted out of Committee this week and recieved first consideration in the House on Wednesday.

A Rep. DeLuca bill to amend the act which regulates credit life, accident, and health insurance passed unanimously in the House on Wednesday and will now move onto the Senate for consideration.

Also on Wednesday, a bill amending the Family and Caregiver Support Act was voted out of House Approps and received second consideration in the House.

HB 56 also came out of Appropriations and made it to second consideration, it is now set on the calendar for next week.

HB 821 —  sponsored by Rep. Boback – was amended in the House Aging and Older Adult Services committee voted out, and made it all the way through first consideration and to the House appropriations committee this week.

HR 123, which would establish a Pain Task Force, was voted out of committee and set on the House calendar for next week.

On the Senate Side, some HealthNET PA bills continued to move along: Senate bills 443  and 189 were passed unanimously in the Senate, while SB 442 came out of the Appropriations committee and was set on the floor calendar for next week.

Also passed unanimously by the Senate was Sen. Vance’s bill to reauthorize the Pennsylvania Healthcare Cost Containment Council (PHC4) until the year 2012.  It now proceeds to the House Health and Human Services Committee.
