Philadelphia Inq reports:

A Kentucky jury hit British drugmaker AstraZeneca P.L.C. with a $14.7 million verdict in a case that contended the company inflated the prices of its prescription drugs for Medicaid reimbursements. Laura Woodin, a company spokeswoman, said in a statement that AstraZeneca, with U.S. headquarters near Wilmington, was disappointed by the jury’s decision. Woodin said the company believed the claims are unfounded and was looking at options, including appeal. – AP
